Surely, it’s almost never perfect English – all those people are also learners of English, but we talk about everyday situations, and if we can communicate with each other and make ourselves understood, we’re happy because that’s what matters the most. Even if you are lazy, you simply have no other choice but to try to learn at least some useful words and phrases. And it’s normally easier to remember this way because you really need to say these words to communicate. It may look a bit chaotic, but usually whatever you learn this way, it sticks with you for a long time. SPEAKER 5 I’m a bookworm, so it’s easy for me to get an original version of a book I like and read it, and learn the language in this way.
